Privacy policy

This policy explains what Iotatron collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@iotatron.xyz and we'll explain it properly.
What we collect
When you submit a form — the contact form or the package configurator — we collect the information you type into it: your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, company, current website, budget range, timeline, and project description.
When you visit the site, our analytics record aggregate, non-identifying information: pages viewed, approximate region, device type, and referring source. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell data.
If you purchase a package, payment is processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's systems and never touch our servers. We receive only the confirmation, the amount, and the reference.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry and scope your project.
To fulfil a purchase and issue invoices and receipts.
To understand which pages help people and which need work.
To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
Only the services required to run the business: our hosting provider, our email provider, our analytics provider, our payment processor (Stripe), and our accountant. Each is bound by its own data-protection obligations.
We will disclose information if legally compelled to do so, and we will tell you when we're permitted to.
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that don't become projects are deleted after 24 months.
Project records and financial records are retained for seven years, as tax law requires.
Analytics data is retained in aggregate for 26 months.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@iotatron.xyz and we'll action the request within 30 days.
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have additional statutory rights including data portability and the right to object to processing. We honour those rights for everyone, regardless of where you live.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies: one to remember your light/dark theme preference, and analytics cookies to measure traffic. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
You can block cookies in your browser. The site will still work; it will simply forget your theme preference.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted. Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it, and protected by multi-factor authentication.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you promptly and directly.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we'll update the date at the top and, where the change affects you, tell you by email.
